Hanson Management Bios

Gregory Hanson, President and CEO, has presided over the company since 2003, when he was promoted from Executive Vice President, a position he held since 1996. He was previously President of Purefact Water Center (1993 – 1996) and Hanson Precision Machine (1986-1993). He is a past board member of the IARW. He currently serves on the Hanson Mold Advisory Board, is a member of the Board of Directors of Hanson Cold Storage. Greg is very active in the Benton Harbor, Michigan community and has held various civic and industry board positions.

James Reits, Executive Vice President and CFO, joined Hanson Cold Storage in 1995 as controller, and was promoted to his current position in 1997. He was previously Sales Controller for Zenith Data Systems. James received his BA in Accounting and MBA in Finance from Western Michigan University. He is past Chairman of the IARW Insurance Committee.

Andrew B. Janson, Executive Vice President of Business Development. A graduate of Rockhurst University, Andrew has nearly 20 years of experience in retail food distribution and refrigerated warehousing, most recently with The Arthur Wells Group. Andrew joined Hanson in 2004, and spearheads the company’s growing logistics service offering. He has also served in various leadership roles with the IARW, WFLO, and in 2006 was elected to the IRTA Board of Directors.

Matt Luckas, Vice President of Supply Chain Services, joined Hanson Logistics in 2008 from GTS, as Vice President of Operations for the national refrigerated carrier. Prior to GTS, he was Executive Vice President, Supply Chain Services at TLC, where he was instrumental in developing the organization’s customer-centric supply chain solutions, resulting in 20% annual growth. For sixteen years prior to TLC, Luckas was employed at Ryder Truck Rental where he performed in various capacities in field operations, business development, and training. His extensive career in transportation and logistics also includes more than 10 years in retail grocery operations.

Joe Mitchell, Vice President of Sales & Marketing
Joe joined Hanson in 1998, and drives the company's new sales efforts while providing customer service support for existing accounts. Knowledgeable in logistics management and operations as well as sales, Joe has more than 35 years in warehousing/distribution, including retail, food service distribution and public refrigerated warehousing.
