Green Light: Energy Upgrades Reduce Facility Footprint

Located deep in cherry land, Hanson Logistics Hart facility has been upgraded with two new freezing units for cost effectively maintaining below zero temperatures. Hart has also completed a utilities upgrade for more efficient electrical power. Several of our warehouses are switching over to LED lighting with no heat output and significantly less energy cost to operate. We are also conducting energy audits to indentify any unforeseen areas requiring attention.

As part of our extensive Hartford improvements, blast cell mechanicals have been upgraded, and we continue replacing dock seals to provide improved isolation of the warm, humid air from the dock and freezers.

In addition to new LED Logansport received an energy-facelift in the form of a resided exterior wall, adding significant insulation to this pork blast freezing and exporting facility. In addition to a smaller thermal foot print, Hanson facilities received 'Excellent' scores during recent ASI inspections.
