Letter From The President

Dear Friends,

We are committed to providing our clients with top-notch logistics and that includes transportation capacity. We’ve included in this newsletter a reference to Peter Bradley’s excellent article in DC Velocity on the issue of capacity. As a growing 3PL, Hanson Logistics places a high priority on building carrier relationships while also expanding the Hanson fleet.

Greg Hanson

We’ve always gone the extra mile to welcome drivers at all of our facilities, while providing them with ready-to-go loads and year-round volume. As the 13th largest public refrigerated warehouse company, we provide a fairly steady revenue stream for our outbound friends.

A few weeks ago, we took it up a notch with the introduction of our new “Quick Pay” program. We now pay carrier invoices within 7 days of receipt; a rare policy in a time when many carriers face 120 day aging or factoring to pay fuel. We want carriers to know we value their contribution.

Our objective, of course, is to manage our customers’ transportation in the best way possible, with the resources available to us to get it done and get it done right. We’re very methodical about our growth; our service must remain “Yes We Can!”

I’d like to bring you up to speed on all that’s new at Hanson, including our growing transportation management program and Midwest consolidation services. Much of that is covered in this newsletter, but for those of you attending the Western Frozen Food Convention, please stop by the Hanson exhibit and say hello.

In the meantime, the best to you from all of us at Hanson Logistics.

Sincerely,

Gregory P. Hanson
President & CEO
