Hanson Logistics Wins Foodservice Product Distribution Contract

Officials at Hanson recently announced the company has been selected by one of the world’s largest spice and seasonings company to provide finished goods warehousing and distribution services at its Benton Harbor, Michigan facility.

The new program takes advantage of Hanson’s full complement of WMS technologies, carrier-friendly access, quick turn loading, and proximity to major interstates. The 5.3 million cu. ft. temperature-controlled facility will serve as the Midwest distribution center for foodservice condiments produced by the customer at its South Bend, Indiana manufacturing facility. Hanson will also provide outbound transportation support as required.

“This is an excellent opportunity to deliver world-class services to a world class organization,” said Gregory P. Hanson, President, Hanson Logistics. “Our central states location, with easy carrier access, makes our Benton Harbor facility an ideal distribution center. We look forward to demonstrating our “Yes, We Can!” service and reputation for this important customer.”

The Benton Harbor, Michigan facility offers -10°F to 40°F storage for manufacturers, retailers and food service distributors, and is one location for the company's new Velocities™ multi-vendor consolidation program.
